A breath of fresh air to the Australian television landscape. With his eye for design and practical, no nonsense approach, builder Saul Myers is fast becoming the countries favourite chippy.
A breath of fresh air to the Australian television landscape, 34-year-old Saul Myers has joined the judging panel on Seven Networks’ hit show House Rules.
A builder by trade, Saul likes nothing more than getting on the tools himself and flipping homes. Recently completing a Home Beautiful web series House to Home Beautiful where he renovated his entire four-bedroom holiday house in North Avoca NSW. He has since become a monthly contributor to the magazine, known as their ‘Renovation Expert’.
It was during this web-series Saul caught the eye of Seven Network executives who loved his laid back and often humorous on camera style. Coupled with this, his expertise in the building industry meant Saul was a natural fit to join the judging panel for Season 8 of House Rules.
Excited to work alongside his esteemed fellow judges, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Kyly Clarke, Saul hopes his “practical, no-nonsense advice,” will spur on this year’s teams to do the best renovations we have seen in the eight seasons of House Rules so far.
A career in the building industry since he was 18 has seen Saul take on many different and diverse challenges. From travelling throughout Europe building high-end mansions for his clients to becoming the site supervisor of a government housing scheme that renovated houses for the indigenous population on Bickerton Island in the Northern Territory from 2011 to 2013. In recent years Saul has been involved surveying project work for Federal Government, assessing buildings throughout NSW.
Passionate about health and fitness, outside of his building work Saul is part-owner in a Gym on the Central Coast and an accomplished Gymnast who in the past competed and won at a national level. He’s also good for a laugh or two, forging a career as an amateur stand up comedian in his spare time.
