Tate Animals join One Management

We are excited to announce the signing of dynamic duo Jen & Ryan from Tate Animal Training

Ryan and Jen Tate are a unique, fascinating couple whose work and lives are intertwined by their passion for animals.  Both have been working as animal trainers in the industry for over 20years, combined. It is hard to find a species of animal they haven’t worked with.

After enjoying many working years at the famous Taronga Zoo, the couple launched their own business, Tate Animal Training.  They specialise in dog training, not only household animals but specialised detection and behavioural work.  The combined knowledge of the Tate’s incomparable.

Ryan’s experience of animal behaviour is exceptional, he is a leading expert in his field and instructs dog trainers and handlers around Australia. While at Taronga Zoo he trained a variety of species that ranged from marine mammals to birds.He has  degree in Marine Biology and Certificate III in Captive Animals, Vicki Austin’s puppy instructor’s class, a Statement of Attainment in Dog Training and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing.

Since 2007 he has been training and handling detection dogs. He owns and handles a variety of specialised conservation dogs trained to find: koalas, feral Cats, foxes, rabbits, owls, hawk weed and alligator weed.  Ryan works alongside organisations and government bodies, such as Office of Environment and Heritage, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Roads and Maritime NSW and Department of Agriculture just to name a few.

Jen is a passionate and highly experienced wildlife carer, conservationist, author and dog trainer with a Certificate II in Animal Studies and Vicki Austin’s Puppy Instructor Course. She has been working in the animal care industry since 2004, working for a number of vet clinics and the two largest zoos in Sydney before committing full time to the family business, Tate Animal Training Enterprises. Her area of expertise within the business is largely focused around puppy raising and development, she trains on average up to 50 puppies per month and has a mission to educate the public on making sound choices when it comes to picking breeds and breeders. Jen is also the author and illustrator of children’s book “Pouches Paws, Tails and Claws”.

Join us in welcoming expert in Landscape Design and Building – Anthony Scott

For host of ‘The Home Team’ on Network Ten, Anthony Scott, it was a childhood fascination with the great outdoors that naturally led him to a career working in the landscape industry.  As a young and very eager apprentice, he was keen to learn everything he could about building gardens for people to enjoy. Once qualified he hit the ground running, starting his own landscaping business.

Anthony continued to grow his business over the next 20 years, always ready for a challenge, and always ready to put his designing and building skills to the test. No bigger test, than building show gardens at the “Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show” which has been a real highlight of his career.

As an active member in the landscape industry, Anthony has also appeared as a guest speaker at the “Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show”, and is head judge for the Landscaping Victoria Awards, in which he oversees the judging process and final judication.

In 2014, Anthony was offered the role of co-hosting channel ten’s, “The Home Team.” It was a dream come true, which saw him relish the opportunity to share his creative knowledge of all things design and construction. It is Anthony’s relaxed personality and presenting style, that makes him a natural in front of the camera. ‘The Home Team’ is currently in its fourth season for Network Ten.

Wendy Moore is a highly experienced editor and publisher with a proven track record in building and managing agile and desirable magazine brands. With experience across some of the most iconic brands, from the Australian Women’s Weekly and Burke’s Backyard, to Disney, Australian Home Beautiful, and most recently Better Homes & Gardens, Wendy is one of Australia’s most respected publishing executives and judge on Seven’s hit show “House Rules”.

During her 10-year tenure as Home Beautiful editor, sales experienced sustained growth from around 65,000 to more than 90,000 added to a soaring social and digital footprint to cement itself as the country’s leading interiors style brand.

Last year, she was promoted to General Manager, Homes and Food, at Pacific Magazines overseeing business strategy for leading home brands, including Better Homes and Gardens and Home Beautiful as well as new digital food brands – Foodiful and AllRecipes.

She lives in Sydney’s inner west with husband Peter and her seven-year-old twin girls, Darcy and Ruth. In her spare time, she enjoys running, surfing and gardening.

Join us in welcoming Sarah Tiong from MasterChef Australia S9

18 December 2017

Warm, funny and engaging, Sarah Tiong was one of the finalists in MasterChef Series 9 (2017). Growing up in Sydney, Sarah valued family, education and hard work. She completed her Actuarial and Law degrees and worked with large multinational corporations. In 2017, Sarah decided to change her path and on a whim entered MasterChef.

Establishing herself as a strong cook from the get-go; Sarah became a viewer favourite with her ability to fuse her traditional Malaysian style with an array of other cuisines. Her enthusiasm for food and cooking was infectious. Sarah is continuing her food journey and is making appearances at many festivals and events and creating successful pop up restaurants around Sydney.
