Wendy Moore is one of Australia’s most respected media executives with experience across all platforms and mediums. A highly experienced editor and publisher with over 20 years in print publications developing and managing some of Australia’s most iconic brands, from the Australian Women’s Weekly and Better Homes & Gardens to Australian Home Beautiful, Wendy has also had extensive on-camera experience in the lifestyle genre. After 12 years with Pacific Magazines, in 2019 Wendy expands her media career to include an executive role in Television by joining Foxtel as the General Manager of the Lifestyle Channels.
Comfortable in front of the camera, her experience and passion for the lifestyle genre has seen Wendy as a judge on Channel Seven’s hit show “House Rules” since its inception 7 seasons ago. “I think the secret to its success is actually the foundation of the show,” she says. “This is people and their own homes, their own dreams, hoping to realise them. “The emotions that are tied up in those homes are so real and so tangible that it emotionally charges everything.”
During her 12-year tenure as Home Beautiful editor, sales experienced sustained growth from around 65,000 to more than 90,000 added to a soaring social and digital footprint to cement itself as the country’s leading interiors style brand. “Home Beautiful is about being inspired to create a home you love and ‘HOUSE RULES’ is about teams coming together to create a home for someone else to love,” Wendy says.
In 2016, she was promoted to General Manager, Homes and Food, at Pacific Magazines overseeing business strategy for leading home brands, including Better Homes and Gardens and Home Beautiful as well as new digital food brands – New Idea Food and AllRecipes.
She lives in Sydney’s inner west with husband Peter and her eight-year-old twin girls, Darcy and Ruth. In her spare time, she enjoys running, surfing and gardening.
